Looking forward to the Chaykin Hawkgirl myself. So you read Loveless? I love many Vertigo titles, but skipped this...then at the NY comicon the panel discussion about it sparked my interest. What's it like?
I can hardly wait for the Hawkgirl "One Year Later". I have a soft spot for Kendra and am fascinated to see where the new creative team will take her.
Speaking of fascinated, Loveless is a little hard to follow at first because of numerous flashbacks, and trying to keep up with where a person is in the story, but overall it has been a beautiful read. The main female character has suffered tragically, but is strong, not unlike Dizzy Cordova over in 100 Bullets. I also am glued to the series to see what happens to Wes, the main character.
I am debating over telling you to try it. It may read better in trade paperback format, much like 100 Bullets does.
I am jealous you were at the NY comicon- I hope you had a wonderful time! I will keep checking your blog to see how your more local one went as well- it sounded very busy for you!
