Never in a million years did I think I would ever be the subject of a sketch. It was so far beyond my hopes that it never entered my mind.
Guess what happened at this year's Emerald City Comicon?
I got two sketches featuring myself.
I am in awe.
The first one I want to share with you is by Howard Tayler. He is the very talented creator behind the fantastic webcomic Schlock Mercenary. We were across from his booth with Blank Label Comics, and it was amazing to watch him group interact with the public. Their work is great and it was wonderful to find out about it.
Howard came over and introduced himself to me and asked me about Comics Fairplay. We had a brief discussion, and I thought he was very nice. A couple of hours later, he came over and handed me this sketch.
My jaw dropped. I was so thrilled that I was almost speechless. Howard had done something so sweet and so heart warming that I couldnt' believe it.
He had made me into a super hero.
Wow.
Special thanks to Howard for this incredible sketch. I am still so giddy I can hardly stand it. Go check out his awesome work- it is really fun and original!
Thank you, Howard, for making my day.
