Pictured is the sketch of Lady Blackhawk by Terry Moore that my husband got me. It is so beautiful that it is unbelievable. Jim is working on getting me sketches of different female heroes from both the DC and Marvel universe and he was convinced that Moore would do the ultimate Lady Blackhawk. He was right.
There have been many great posts about the Emerald City Comicon, so I wanted to provide links to them. Here is the round up.
Laura from Bloggity-Blog-Blog-Blog did a wonderful job in her reports. Here are links to them.
Part One, Part Two, Part Three, Part Four, and Links.
Howard Tayler from Schlock Mercenary had some fantastic posts.
Day One, Vader Sketch, Day Two.
Brad Guigar, who does Evil Inc. also had a report. His run Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
My brother from another mother Kirk Jarvinen did an entry as well. Take a gander!
All The Rage over at Silver Bullets did a great post.
Pat Loika has an excellent thread running over at the Bendis Boards. I found it via the Oeming arm wrestling debacle. Take a look.
I can't forget Laura's Travels with the Troll. It is absolutely incredible!

Um, yeah, you should put a link to your own ECC posts which appear below so folks only need to come to one place to get everything. :)
AWESOME sketch!
Elayne, thank you for the great suggestion! I really appreciate it! Thank you for looking out for me!
Take care!
Lisa, Jim did a good job picking the character, and Terry Moore did a wonderful job executing it. It is a favorite for sure!
Heidi, I just had to comment about Jim Demonakas' blog. I got a kick out of his "Complete 101 things in 1001 days". Many of them surprised me, and some are definitely 'shooting for the moon' if they were on my list, but its a cool idea!
side note: I think I am buying him a subscription to a travel magazine, (looks like he had a lot of that in mind this year)!
Glad you liked my ComicMix link, Heidi. :) Geez, if you wanted a Lady Blackhawk sketch you could've asked me, my husband inked that character for almost a year when he did Birds of Prey. ;)
Great sketch, but I still like the MIGHTY HEIDI sketch by Howard T. better:)--Move over, Power Girl!

Elayne:
As the one who has gotten heidi most of the sketches she has, I just want to say that I always try to pick a character that i think plays to the strength of the artist.
Terry Moore is well-known for his "realistic" portrayal of women (both in word and visually). So, I chose the closest thing the DCU has to a "real woman" (since Lady B has no super-powers or tons of techo-gizmos, like other superheroes do).
There was no slight meant to Robin (and I apologize if there seems to be). In fact, if he'd had been as ECCC, I'd have wanted him to do Manhunter (Kate Spencer) anayway. ;)
Elayne, that is a great suggestion! I have been hoping that someday you and Robin will come out West and we will be able to meet you! Maybe someday?
I would love to get a sketch from Robin! Down the road I may just pester you to help me arrange something. I would be the icing on the cake!
Kirk, you are so sweet! I also LOVE the sketch you did, my friend. I have been debating whether to post it or not, because it feels pretty personal to me. Hmmmm...
Thank you for the compliment! I will take it!
Heidi,
Nah, keep it personal I think. It was meant just for you to enjoy:)
Kirk, that is what I was thinking too! I am going to go get a frame for it and put it up by my computer. It is so damn cool! Thank you again!
