Emerald City Comicon 2007: A Powerful Time

Power Girl and Me
Originally uploaded by Heidi Meeley.
The Emerald City Comicon is over and done, but it will not soon be forgotten here at Comics Fairplay. I had the time of my life. I saw cherished old friends, met many new ones, and even got to have my picture taken with Power Girl! From the days at the show to the nights of metal mania with great friends, it all went way too quickly.

I have so much to tell, and I will do so in posts throughout the week, but tonight is about summing it up: ECCC was the most fun I have had in a long time. To all of you that helped make it that way, you have my most humble gratitude. Jim and I will not soon forget it.

In a quick note, my Get In Shape Contest ends Thursday, so if I am a bit sporadic until then, bear with me. I have many tales to tell, and will do so for sure. In the meantime, have a fantastic evening, and enjoy the picture of Power Girl and I comparing arms. Pretty deadly, huh?

I'm glad you both had a great time and can't wait to hear the tales.

Is that a PUNISHER SKULL I SEE?!!!
Dump this James guy and come to Florida Heidi!!! Oh wait, my bride would kick my ass (or at least run to get a ladder to do so, while I steal out the back), me wanting two gals into comics, sheesh. Life seems unfair, probably just to me though. Gawd, I have to wait till May for the next Tampacon and I'm still saving for San Diego. Glad you had fun...

Great to hear you had such a magical weekend at the Con!

It's also nice to see what you look like! After all that time in the gym, I'd say YOU'RE the "Powergirl" in that photo!

I anxiously look forward to hearing about the Emerald Con adventures of the Meeley's!

Just checkin in to see if you and Jim made it home from Seattle safe. I wholeheartedly agree Heidi! This year was a BLAST! and Kirk and I can't wait to see you and Jim again. Try to relax from the long ride and all your hard work, we'll chat together soon!
Love,

Pamela

John, thank you so much! We got you something, so hopefully in the next week I will get off my butt and get it to the post office...

Take care!

Carl, it is most certainly a Punisher shirt. I had to represent!

As for coming to Florida... well, Jim probably wouldn't be too thrilled! :-)

When we have to wait between cons, it makes it that much sweeter, right? Heh.

I hope you will enjoy my upcoming reports, and that I don't ramble on too long!

Thank you again!

Pamela, we made it back, but because I was a tad hungover, it was a bit dicey! :-) Brian, Jim and I ate lunch before heading back, so that helped.

Thank you for the wonderful time! I didnt' want it to end! I will be sending you an e-mail by the end of the week to check in...

I can't imagine a better weekend!

Your arms are definately more muscular than Power Girl's!

Glad you guys had a great time at the con! I can't wait to hear all about it.

Lisa, thank you for the compliment! I just wish my get in shape contest was over so I was getting home earlier to post more about the show! Hopefully I will make up for it this weekend, and get it all posted.

I took a hunk of pictures, so I hope to post those soon. Tomorrow is the weigh out, so it should be easier. No more three hour drills at the gym until after 8. Yay!!

Take care!

Swinebread, it was an extreme pleasure and honor to meet you! I was so happy that you came by! I read your blog and it sounds like you and your SO had a wonderful time, so I am thrilled!

Maybe we will hit the Portland Con this fall so we will see you there!

Once again, it was excellent to meet you for sure!

I told this artist to draw me a sketch of wolverine he did a fine job of it, but heres the kicker the sign said sketched 10 dollars and out of nowhere he said 50 dollars!!!I was like what!!!I was furious THATS FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!I hope never to see that artist again(would like to note that that was all the money I had left in my wallet),but other than that it was a glorious day next time I will come out stronger and with more money!!also nice talking to you at the con see ya!Girl in the skeleton jacket.
