I second your "yay!" I am hoping that Will Pfeifer hits a home run with Amazons Attack.

Yeah, big week for me too....right on the heels of a big one last week!

Not to rain on the Amazon parade, but this story just seems to be coming out of nowhere, with really no build-up or logical lead-in (as far as I know). I know the Amazons have always been ticked off at "Patriarch's World", but what the heck brought the full-scale American invasion on? Is this some kind of pseudo-political message...or what? Just not feeling it for this one.....must be "Mega-Event Fatigue Syndrom" (MEFS).

Read Wonder Woman first, then Amazon's Attack - it will make more sense this way and not be quite as "out of nowhere."

I also managed to read a copy of Wolverine 52 the other week. Can’t say as I get where the whole Sabretooth / Wolverine / Storm / Black Panther thing is coming from or going, but I kind of like the art – especially the cover for upcoming Wolverine 55. It’s nothing too original, but I guess the fanboy in me likes it :) I highly doubt it’s going to have any permanent changes coming from the story like the solicits say, but I’ll probably get the trade eventually ‘cause I like the art and usually like Jeph Loeb’s work as well. Having probably read Loeb’s arc from the start, you think it’s any good?

And this really doesn’t have anything to do with your post, but I was looking at solicits for upcoming Marvel stuff, and saw this cover for Punisher War Journal 9. I’m a huge fan of Ennis’ Punisher in Punisher Max, but what are they doing to the character in the main Marvel U? I haven’t read the story, but the cover looks downright ridiculous to me. How can they have Punisher fighting the mob in the Max series, and replacing Captain America in another? Good ol’ Marvel – where continuity is a dirty word.

Good luck getting past the Bronchitis - hope you're feeling better soon.

Melchior, I will have to go visit your blog and see what you think! I love your opinions!

Mark, it is okay to not feel Amazons Attack. God knows we have had a lot of mega events with DC in the last couple of years. Add Marvel's insanity into the mix and it is no surprise that some burnout would be experienced!

Besides, there is always the trade paperback!

Lisa, thank you so much for the warning! I was able to do it that way and I appreciate it!

I look forward to your opinion on it!

Eaglewing, I have to tell you, I am really on the fence about Loeb's run on Wolverine as of now. The gorgeous art by Simone Bianchi actually distracts me from the story and I lose my place. Weird, huh? You will have to let me know what you think!

Also, Punisher War Journal has me a bit befuddled at this point. It sure looks like he is going to kick some major butt in a Cap-like outfit, but to what extent he makes waves is anyone's guess.

Thank you for the links and thank you for your well wishes!
