I was reading the lovely Mark Engblom's site Comic Coverage last week, basking in the joy that is "Eight Mindblowing Facts". As I enjoyed the post, I came upon fact #7 in which Mark met Lou Ferrigno. Not only did it inspire me, but it reminded me that I had also been fortunate and met the man as well.
Tonight I was regaling my workout partner Kerry with the tale and he thought that I should share my picture. Even though it isn't quite as awesome as Mark's, it is still pretty cool to have.
The funny thing is that my hubby and our good friend Brant had really wanted me to flex along with Lou because they thought I had pretty good guns. I was thinking about it pretty seriously until I saw Lou's and then I just absolutely deflated. No way in hell could I compare to that man.
Now I wish I would have done it. Sigh.
Maybe I will see Lou again some time and be brave enough to flex alongside him. It is a new goal! Thank you for the inspiration, Mark!
Any cool celeb stories to tell? I would love to hear 'em!

Hey, you're welcome, Heidi! What a great shot of you and "Big Lou". You don't understand how huge the guy is until you're standing right next to him....but I don't have to tell you that, do I?
Thanks for the kind words and the nifty link!
Mark, meetintg Lou was definitely an experience. As an amateur body builder of sorts (if I didn't love to eat so much), he truly fascinates me. I have watched Pumping Iron multiple times, and it just doesn't do his sheer size justice.
At any rate, thank you for the inspiration and the kind words!
Nope, no celeb meet stories from me, but that's a great picture. It'd be fun if they could work a cameo in for Lou in the new Hulk movie coming next year too.
Great pic!
Hmmmmmm, welp, I am not sure what was going on, but when I met him years ago at a show in St. Pete, he seemed a bit distant, maybe a bit unhappy, I dunno. Still I loved seeing him, got the Jusko cover of 'The Rampaging Hulk' signed and shook his hand. He seemed surprised that I wanted to shake his hand, like all the people before me had been autograph speculators or eBay nuts or something. In spite of all that, I still love the guy and remember how I couldn't wait to see the new episode of 'The Incredible Hulk' each week back in the day. Oh well, at least it wasn't like my Richard Hatch (BSG) encounter years later...
Eaglewing, I am hoping for a cameo there as well! I would love to see Lou in it!
Swinebread, thank you!
Carl, I have read that Lou is kinda shy even though he is a celeb. He was a bit standoffish, but was very sweet about putting his arm around me and posing. I was thrilled! I think it kinda depends on the situation.
I will have to read your blog post about Richard Hatch- it's over there, right? You are too cool!
