Avengers Initiative #4

In exciting news here at Comics Fairplay, our friend installed a second ceiling fan so things can cool down better here at our home. On Saturday, he had put one in our bedroom and that was fantastic. Now we have one in the living room and it really helps circulate the air around. We have two more fans to put up in our second bedroom and dining room, which will make life even better.

It is another busy week in comics as there are several DC titles on my pull list. I wonder if I am starting to revert back to my DC heavy days of 10 years ago. Hmmm..

Here is my list for the week:

Samurai Heaven & Earth 1 #5 (of 5)
All Flash #1
Amazons Attack #4 (of 6)
Army @ Love #5
Birds of Prey #108
Black Canary #2 (of 4)
Brave and the Bold #5
Catwoman #69
Checkmate #16
Countdown #41
Justice League of America #11
Avengers Initiative #4 - pictured
Captain America #28
New X-Men #28
Ultimate Spider-Man #111
Wolverine Origins Annual #1
World War Hulk #2 (of 5)
World War Hulk X-Men #2 (of 3)
Lone Ranger #7

What a week! I am especially excited for Birds of Prey and Black Canary, to check in on my girls!

That is it for now, have a wonderful evening!

I'm going to see if I can get a copy of Wolverine Origins Annual 1. I saw a couple preview pages at CBR, and I really like the art. Plus I'm interested in Wolverine's "Patch" timeline in Madripoor. Could be a good story.

Enjoy your comics under the dual fans of breezy goodness :)

Wow...All-Flash #1 is coming out already? I was under the impression it would be August. Nice surprise!

Lone Ranger #7 too? Hey...looks like a good week for me!

Other stuff I'll be picking up:

Brave and the Bold

JLA

Captain America

I'm really, REALLY on the fence over "Countdown". I'm extremely underwhelmed by it so far, and the tsunami of spin-offs launching out of this thing is a huge turn off and a more obnoxious-than-usual money grab. I completely understand selling comics is what DC Comics does, and they've every right to sell as many as they can....but I don't have to take the bait. That's my perrogative....and I may just exercise it.

Eaglewing, I am also looking forward to the annual. The Madripoor days are full of so much mystery that I am interested to see what the creative team is going to fill in with. I am hoping it is a great tale!

Thank you for the kind words- I am in heaven with the fans!

Mark, this is a big week for you, my friend! All-Flash is a big question mark for me, but I am pretty excited about Lone Ranger. It has been an excellent book right out of the gate.

As for Countdown, I am going to try and read through the issues that are out tonight and try and make up my mind. I am on the fence as well, but the part of me that is a completist is screaming to carry on! Yikes.
