X-23 Review at 4CR

I finally got off my butt and put up a new review over at 4 Color Review. I reviewed X-23 #1, and was pleasantly surprised by what I read.

Now it's off to pay bills, which is definitely not my favorite thing. Then laundry and housework. Last on the agenda is reading comics and watching Desperate Housewives.

Have a great week!

Hmmmm, welp, I tried to post my comment on X-23 a day or so back and it apparently didn't want it. Not a clue what happened. Anyway, my brief take on it was that it was a pretty good book. I got it mostly 'cause I liked the the "wild mutie chick" in Wolverine (was that her?). But I got one gripe, why can't there be a Weapon-X Program without mostly creepy and evil people in charge? Outside of the lady doc that got preggers with X-23, I saw pretty much the same creepy folks as we have seen time and again in almost all the 'off-the-books' bio-weapon makers in Marvel. Thank God Cap's creator wasn't evil. Oh yeah, I forgot about that awful "Truth" series. Oh well...

Yeah, my blog was acting weird for a day or two there. I still don't know exactly what transpired!

X-23 was a great read. I agree that the focus is on the evil pricks there, so it was definitely refreshing to have a character with some moral culpability. I am really looking forward to future issues to see where this leads. It is kind of cool that Wolverine isn't all alone anymore, though I am sure other readers hate his uniqueness being crowded out.
