Normally marketing gimmicks are irritating to me, but I am strangely intrigued by the four covers TV Guide is going to have out November 8. Jim Lee, Phil Jimenez, Tim Sale, and Michael Turner are the artists providing the work that will be seen.
What gets my attention is that each artist has done some of the best work I have seen from them in this effort. As someone who has been upset by Turner's latest work, I really have to say he brings it here. Also, Lee provides some of the most photo realistic style I have seen in his work. As a longtime Jimenez groupie of sorts, I am thrilled that he has been included here. The homerun for me is Sale's gorgeous portrayal of Sylar, Maya, Monica, and Micah (pictured at right). His work on Heroes has been nothing short of phenomenol.
For a real treat, head on over to Newsarama and check out all four covers. As a comic book fan, I am happy to see such outstanding work will be seen by the general populace. It is an excellent opportunity to get some notice. As a fan of the television show, I love the fact that it is getting "covered" so beautifully. After last night's episode, I am more intrigued then ever.
What is your favorite cover?

They are all really cool. Jimenez's is my favorite, with Lee's a close second. I never buy TV Guide, but these are neat - I might have to pick one up.
The Jimenez cover is my favorite, though I was also surprised at how good Turner's was. He made Clair look like an actual teenage human female.
I'll have to sharply disagree with you on Sale's cover. I've never really been a fan of his stuff, so you can imagine how it's been a bit of a stumbling block for me when watching the show. I thought we'd be done with the paintings with Isaac's death, but with Peter's copy-cat art skills, I guess not. (sigh)
Still haven't watched an episode of Heroes yet. It's so far in now that I'd have to start with the DVD's to know what's going on, I guess. However, those are great covers from what little I do know about the characters via online reading. Always been a fan of Tim Sale's art, but didn't know it was featured in the show. Maybe I'll have to get on those DVDs...
Lisa, I was actually thinking that I may have to pick one up as well. Normally I don't buy it, but this would be an exception. I just can't believe how good these all look!
Mark, you also liked Phil's cover, huh? I love Phil as a person, so I always gush about his art. It is a bit frightening. LOL!
I do like Sale's art. It isn't pretty, but the gritty feel of it matches up with my perception of Isaac's style. We will have to disagree on this one, which is probably the first time ever. :-)
Eaglewing, if you check out Heroes, you will have to let me know what you think. It is good stuff that grows on a person. Claire the cheerleader and her dad HRG are my favorites right now. It is good stuff!
