It has been a rough weekend here at Comics Fairplay. We had a loss in our family that has shaken us quite a bit. Also, I still haven't recovered 100% from being dehydrated. I also found out that we are on the waiting list for a booth, not actual booth recipients, at the Emerald City Show, so that is about the icing on the crap cake.
The good news is that I lost two more pounds and am staying on my diet during this stressful time. Also, my company's yearly trade show is next week so that is a bit disconcerting. Hopefully I can stay on my game and do a good job at work this week.
This is short and sweet tonight. Let me just say this: if you have a chance to be with loved ones, do so when they are around. Don't wait until it is too late.
Take care and have a good night!

My sympathies to you and James, Heidi. Take time to enjoy life while keeping up your hard work.
My condolences for your loss. There's just never enough time. I hope your week gets better.
I'm sorry for your loss. It is hard to lose a loved one and you're right, now is the time to spend with them before it's too late.
First, sorry for your loss and take care.
I think everyone has had a busy and challenging 2008. When will the train slow down?
Sorry to hear bout your troubles. Take care during this difficult time.
Lisa, thank you so much! We are working our way through it, with support from good friends like you!
Eaglewing, thank you! Time does go too fast. Thank God for the memories, huh?
John, you speak true. Time with loved ones, even when they are gravely ill, is so precious. I have been really thinking about some of my relatives today. They stay away when things aren't going well, and it makes me worry for them even more. Closure and care are important to be sure.
Thank you so much.
Redhead Fangirl- this year has been a whirlwind to say the least! I just can't get things to slow down, and it is scary. I am praying that I can get a deep breath sooner then later.
Here's crossing my fingers for you as well!
Swinebread, thank you so much! To cheer myself up, I am going to buy She-Hulk Volume 2 #26 and watch Shulkie kick some hiney. :-)
Haven't been able to get on much lately, Carl vs. The Deadly 3, namely, my bride and our daughters. Oh, for the pc that is, since mine is down, like I mentioned before.
Anyway, I hope things are better today. I tell my family and friends that have a great loss, nope, you won't get over it. You never will. But time and appreciating those left behind will help. My father died in 1983, longer then a lot of a friends and fellow fans have been alive. In time, you will of course still mourn but things will be better. All my best Heidi...
Carl, you make sense. There are things that happen that you move past, but I don't think you truly ever forget. I was having dinner with a friend one night and we were talking about how his step daughter was murdered 25 years ago. All of a sudden he had to excuse himself and go to the bathroom. All those memories had come rushing back and they made him cry like it had just happened.
My heart really went out to him.
I hope you and your three beautiful girls take care!
