Merry Christmas from Comics Fairplay

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Jim and I have just arrived back home from a long weekend at my parent's house. We had a marvelous, relaxing time with family. I would rate it a "10" out of 10.

On the way back, we drove through Portland, Oregon and it was a mess. It was snowing and it really confounded several of the drivers, as that is not their natural driving conditions. We tried to drive very carefully through the city, and since the bad weather lasted until Hood River, it was quite treacherous. By the time we got back home, we were very happy. It is snowing here, but that is a more normal condition for us.

Pictured is the original sketch my husband gave me for Christmas. Done by Chris Ivy, the portrayal of Wonder Woman leaves me breathless. I love the shading and softness Ivy brings to this golden age great. I couldn't have asked for a better present!

I am off to go get unpacked and do my laundry, but I really wanted to wish you a wonderful day! Take care and enjoy your time with loved ones.

Merry Christmas to you and Jim. Glad you had a great day! Today was very relaxing and I got to spend it with my Mom and brother and sister.

You get the best sketches!!

Glad you survived that treacherous weather. The only thing worse than driving in bad weather is driving in bad weather in an area where the other drivers aren't used to it.

Glad you're back home safe, and that is one rather cool xmas gift sketch. Had a good Christmas here, but probably ate too much :)

Happy Holidays

Just so you folks know, this isn't just a sketch. It's a full on pencilled commission. This is a finished piece of art, just like you'd find on a comic page, before the inker inks it. I know most of you might not really care about the difference, but I felt it was noteworthy to state it.

It IS noteworthy

John, thank you so much! I hope you had a nice time. Did you get some time off work?

Lisa, Thank you for the compliment! Jim spends quite a bit of time figuring it all out. It is a girl geek's dream come true!

I agree about the weather. When drivers aren't used to it and get scared it can be the worst problem to have. I hope your weather improves sooner then later too!

Take care.

Swinebread, thank you! I was wondering if you got caught in any of that mess? Obviously you are fine as you are able to access the internet and type, but you were someone Jim and I thought about!

Eaglewing, thank you! I feel ya about the eating. I ate way too much! My mom cooked splendidly the entire time. First night was chicken, then ribs, then turkey, and the grand finale was prime rib. Top it off with cookies, and you can see why I had to workout for a long time tonight!

I am glad you had a good one!

Hmmmm, had a pretty good Christmas except for the 70-80 degree days before it. Hard to make like it's an old-fashioned Christmas when it's hot and humid outside. Yeah, I know, you'd rather have that then the ice and snow butttttttt, watching "A Christmas Story" and its magic and then looking outside and it's palm trees, bugs not knocked down by the cold and tepid weather.... well, just blows the mood.
Welp, I got the girls lots of superhero items but of course had to get some Barbie and other such items, but the bride bought most of those.
Wow, the sketches and art you get ROCK! Jim's a whiz-bang kind of guy apparently. ;>
Oh yeah, the only bad thing that happened after a great day, I made the mistake of seeing Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem. Apparently it was written by Satan or someone who really hates families, women, small children and babies. The only thing I can think of worse then seeing this movie is seeing it twice or more, bleaaaagh, ick, get it off me! But I digress.
Glad you had a great Christmas...
