Oh my God. I can't believe how emotional I felt when I read the last three pages of Batman #654. I got honest-to-God tears in my eyes, and reading it a third time hasn't diminished it.
Sure I have heard that this issue is an anti-climatic ending of the eight part Two-Face story, and to some degree it may be, but what Bruce does for Tim is absolutely incredible.
To some effect, I have been expecting this, but how it played out in this issue written by James Robinson and drawn by Don Kramer, I could never have anticipated.
Wow.
With this being said, I can hardly wait to see where this story goes- If Bruce truly does adopt Tim, what are all the ramifications? How will new writers Grant Morrison and Paul Dini write this? How will it affect Robin's title, and the Teen Titans?
Talk about an upcoming emotional roller coaster!

Well, maybe this post wasn't as spoiler ridden as originally intended, but I was so choked-up, I couldn't help myself.
Take care!

Oh, I also leafed through Previews last night and saw a solicitation for Batman in September. It looks like poor Tim will have some competition. I wonder how that will go....
It kinda took the wind out of my sales in regards to being so touched about the Batman & Robin moment pictured.
So I guess this means Tim's stepmom and "Uncle" Eddie didn't make it out of Bludhaven alive.
If Bruce can avoid turning Tim into, well, him, then I'd be OK with it. But I don't really associate the emotional expression that I think a a parent needs to be able to provide, at least occasionally, with Batman.
Calvin, that is a good point. I hadn't even considered Dana at this point because I was so caught up in the tale being told. I wonder if this will be touched on.
I was especially wondering how Bruce could be a parent to Tim. I figured Alfred would have to step into that role as well... actually I just got a scary visual of Bruce as the dad and Alfred as the mom, but that is another story! Heh.
I can't wait to see how this all plays out, especially with Grant Morrison bringing another "son" into the mix.
