Six Years of Wedded Bliss

Wedding Day
Originally uploaded by Heidi Meeley.
Today is my 6th Wedding Anniversary. Jim and I already pretty much celebrated last Saturday when we went to dinner and saw Carlos Mencia, but today is the official day.

I can hardly believe how fast time has gone. We have been together for 9 1/2 years, and it keeps getting better. We are brutally honest with each other, and have our bad days, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. Jim is the other half of me, and it still astounds me some days how perfect we are for each other.

You know it's going to last when you can read each other's comic books. That is trust! Heh.

P.S. I must be the only bride on earth who is actually thinner now then on the day I got married. I have my dress in my closet, and it is still incredibly beautiful, but it is too big. Oh well, at least I don't have to worry about not being able to fit into it later on.

Here's to many more! I love you Jim.

Welp, congrats on those 6 years, hope there is many, many more to come! Not to brag (since it's been a road with lots of happiness and lots of thumbtacks and barriers) but our 20th is next year. Sheesh. So, you see, comic nerds can not only get married, reproduce (and make more comic book fans) but stay together too. Though, I fear I will someday meet with Red-Head Assisted Suicide especially with my behavior, ho ho!
Good luck and show other comic nerds, fanboys and fangirls how it's done!

Carl, congrats on your long marriage! That is wonderful! You are definitely setting an example for the rest of us. I think you must behave pretty well, so the wife is happy to have you around.

I am definitely in my marriage for the long haul. I only wanted to do this once, and when I said my vows, I meant every word. Poor Jim!

Yep, comic book lovers can be married and it most definitely works. In fact, I think it is our common interests that sealed the deal.
