Hey there! I just want to confess that I am really getting behind on my internet stuff. I used to check my e-mail at work while eating lunch, or would just check out other people's sites. As of a few weeks ago, I quit doing any surfing at all. It sets a better example if I don't, and I am finding that I focus better.
Needless to say, it leaves little to no time to keep up. I leave for work at 6:45 a.m. and don't get home until around 7 p.m. That is my first chance to check my e-mail and blog. Yikes. I am so far behind on my e-mail that I am embarassed. My friends must think I suck. I also still haven't found a balance here. I wish I wasn't so tired and could make more articulate posts. Lately I have made stupid grammar and spelling errors, which drives me nuts.
I don't want to quit blogging, so I guess I am asking you to bear with me some more. Hopefully on weekends I will get more caught up.
In great news, I have lost 10 pounds on my diet. Today was officially the end of week three of a twelve week cycle, so I am on target. My pants are starting to get loose, so I am about five to ten pounds away from the next size down. That is self esteem building to say the least.
In bad news, I haven't been on my ComicSpace much at all and I am scared to see how many bulletins there are. I think I may wait until Saturday to check it out.
Not much more to tell here. I just wanted to be upfront with my lack of internet time. It is the thing that has had to give a bit in order for me to work out like I need to. I have never lifted so hard! My arms are like spaghetti tonight.
Have a wonderful evening! I will see you back here tomorrow night!

YAY! 10 Pounds! Congrats!
And don't worry about the blogging. If you start to stress about it too much, it stops being fun, and once it stops being fun, there's just no point to it.
Gonna see you at Emerald City Comicon?
Congratulations on the 10 pounds! I know you worked hard for it. Keep up the great work!
I'll echo tegan's sentiment that you shouldn't sweat the blog. I don't get the sense you've abandoned it. You're just an adult with a busy life...just like all of us crazy enough to start a blog. For all of the pressure to "get something on there", I still love the sense of freedom and creativity it brings me. Hopefully you get some of the same thrill.
Anyway, glad to hear things are coming together on the fitness front. It really does recharge the old self confidence, dosn't it?
That's big league news Heidi! Congrats! Stay on target -- the internet isn't going anywhere!
Congrats on the 10# - sounds like you're going to kick some major butt with all that weight you're lifting!
Don't sweat the blog - there are bloggers that update once a week or less. You even take the time to answer just about every single comment. I think yours is one of the better blogs around!
Tegan, I appreciate the well-wishes. I must send congratulations back to you on how well you have done. I am really impressed and have been using you for a bit of inspiration!!
I will definitely be at Emerald City, and look forward to seeing you there!
Mark, I appreciate the sentiment. I am a little less frustrated tonight, and most of it has to do with you and my other friends here wishing me well.
Thank you again!
Bahlactus, you are one of my inspirations as well. I really appreciate the support with all my heart. It makes me keep at it, and not worry so much about letting the ol' blog go to pot.
Thank you so much!
Lisa, you have a good point that there are others that don't post every day that still have quality material. Hopefully I can find a balance soon.
Thank you for the compliments as well! It really made my day!
That's great news on the diet. I wish I could lose some weight. I eat too much junk food. I can't cut it out of my diet...than I'd starve.
Don't worry about blogging everyday, just don't leave for good, that would make us all sad. You just have to find the right balance. I go through phases. Right now I've been a blogging fool, but I might not blog for days or weeks at a time...you gotta live your life before you can blog about it.
Hope work is getting a little less stressful.
John- that is my biggest problem. I love to eat. I love the taste of food. I love the ritual of sitting down and enjoying a good meal. Dieting doesn't feel natural to me.
I am just so scared I am going to have health problems later in life. Also, it is a self esteem thing for me, though I hate to admit it.
So here I go again, trying to find a healthy balance with good food and questionable food. For the next nine weeks, I won't eat anything "fun". It is all protein, clean carbs, and veggies and fruit. I add a bit of 1% milk and low fat yogurt for fun, but otherwise, I eat like the poster child for perfect eating habits.
After that, I am hoping to add a "naughty" lunch once a week, where I get to eat a cheeseburger or pizza if I am craving it. Otherwise, it won't stick.
Scary, huh?
I totally empaphise with you on not eating junk food. I love it, so it is hard not to. I have been walking by the Valentine's Day aisle trying not to look too hard!!
Take care!
