That's it for the week. I lifted weights and did cardio for almost three hours tonight, so I am going to go eat and relax before bed. I have now lost 22 pounds, so I am really pleased. I tried on a size smaller jeans and they fit perfectly. Now that is a victory, my friends!

Have a wonderful evening!

Congrats on fitting into the smaller jeans! Definitely a reward for all of your hard work! Keep it up!

As for the comics, a question: When you get home with "the stack", do you and James methodically work your way through it, or do you read the comics over a period of days? I used to stretch it out, but now it seems I read them all on Wednesday (usually while working out on my elliptical machine).

Granted, you've got MANY more titles than I buy each week...so it might be a tall order to get through them all in one evening...but you never know. That's why I was curious.

What's going on in "ION", by the way? Did that series amount to anything, or have a decent payoff? I realize you haven't read the final issue yet, but is all this stuff with the Monitors going anywhere, or is it just a red herring?

Can't wait to read Brave and the Bold #2. It's looks like alot of fun.

Great news on the weight loss. I would love to be able to fit in a size smaller, seems I keep getting a size bigger.

I've pretty much dropped any of the Ultimate titles except for whenever the Ultimates come out and that is so rare it hardly counts.

I just saw on Amazon today that a third trade for Manhunter is coming out in August, which is great. I'm going to get the second trade and I'll to start getting the comic every month now.

3 hours - you are a MACHINE!! Congrats on the 22 lbs!

52 has really been good lately! That is a long list, but I'm reading most of those too. I was actually surprized myself at the length of my reading list this week.

Mark, thank you for the kind words! I really appreciate it.

As for our comics, Jim and I have been married for almost 7 years, but we still keep our comics separate. He is pretty particular about comic book handling while I am a slob who eats while reading them. For our marital bliss, it is best that we each have our own collections. :-)

We don't have a lot of overlap, because our tastes are pretty different. The only book we both got is Ion #12.

He and I have completely different rituals. He likes to tape his bags first and then he will page through some of the books. I put mine in the order I want to read them in and don't tape them down until I have read them. I try really hard not to at least page them all Wednesday night, but I usually can't stretch it out. Most weeks all my books get a "read through" the first night with a second read during the weekend. When I am behind, all bets are off!

Do you have an elliptical at home? If so, I am very jealous. I take my GN's and Trades to the gym every once in awhile to enjoy, specifically when it is a night I ride the bike.

Ion is pretty cool. The first few issues were a bit slow and I didn't like the art, but this last arc has been pretty fascinating. Kyle is hanging with Donna, and the Monitors have made a mysterious appearance. I will be able to tell you more after I read #12, but it looks like this book is going to filter into Countdown.

I am with you on Brave and Bold #2. It looks gorgeous!

Didn't mean to be so long winded! Have a wonderful night!

John, weight loss is the hardest thing I have ever done. I hate being in constant pain from working out so much, but I know I can relax a bit after I get through the next two weeks. After our contest is over, my team is going to take a breather and just do light cardio for a week. Then we are going to get on a more forgiving schedule and try to keep losing more weight. I am lucky to have great workout partners, otherwise I might have gotten a bit discouraged.

I am happy to hear you are going to get the next Manhunter trade. I am even happier that you liked the book after a financial investment! :-)

As for the Ultimate titles, I am just getting Spider-Man and X-Men. Otherwise, I am pretty much done with the rest. It was really uneven there for awhile, quality wise.

Have a wonderful week, John!

Lisa, I saw your list. We have a lot of titles in common so I was pretty thrilled! :-)

52 is really cranking now. I can't wait to see how it all ends. My husband and I are both really dialed into it!

Thank you for the congrats. I feel like a machine lately! I am exhausted!! Two more weeks tomorrow... Yay!

Take care!

Congratulations on the weight loss! No doubt part of it came from lugging all those comics home. =)

I just finished Brave and the Bold #2 and I am really enjoying it. I'm going to a convention this weekend which will have Mark Waid as one of the guests. I'll bring along #1 for him to sign.

My haul today was smaller than yours but I did pick up the Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser trade. Those characters plus Mignola's art were too much to pass up.

How's Punisher presents Barracuda? I'm waiting for the 3rd HC MAX trade to come out before I can read the Barracuda storyline, but I really like Ennis' Punisher. I just got the Punisher First to Last trade, and Ennis' 'Tyger' oneshot was a fantastic story with really good art.

Hoping to maybe get the trades but just keeping online track of goings on with X Factor and X-Men. Glad to see them finally doing something worthwhile with Rogue in the X-books for a change. Would like to read it, but hesitant to spend the money on X-Men 'cause the art really isn't my thing.

Kudos on achieving your workout goals too.
