From the looks of things, Dinah isn't thrilled. This I have got to see.

Thoughts?

Geez, are there enough candles or what? No, Dinah doesn't look thrilled. I'm reserving judgment on this. He's cheated on her twice; she'd be out of her mind to trust him.

I'd rather seeing Nightwing and Oracle patch things up and get married at this point. And I used to love Ollie and Dinah as a couple.

On a completely different subject I have to tell you that I picked up the first trade of Manhunter. I LOVED it! That's two for two for you, The Boys and now Manhunter. This book was great. I see a second trade, have there been more?

Thanks for the reccomendation.

I think Dinah's actually looking at all the candles thinking "omg a slight wind and this whole park will go up in flames!!!!" XDDD

I really think that Dinah has changed a lot recently and that she won't say yes, unless she feels like she has to because she has a child she's carying for and wants to have a family. It will be an interesting issuse to read!

LOL - Ami might be right. Johnh - there are two trades at the moment. Manhunter is one of the best comics people aren't reading - I am glad you checked it out!!

Jeeez, if I was her, I would say to Ollie about 10 years too late pal. And yeah, being dead's a pretty good excuse butttt what explains the two affairs after that if you loved me so much?

Shelly, I am with you that I would have preferred to see Dick and Babs get together then this. I have really accepted and been pleased with the two characters having their own lives. Bringing them back together this quickly can only signal one thing: they are part of a much bigger story being told. That makes me sad. It is the "little details" that can make a relationship story work so well. When it is part of the bigger picture, used to fulfill a Kingdom Come type of future, it just frustrates me. That is what my gut tells me, so we shall see.

John, I am so happy that you loved Manhunter! It is such an excellent book, and deserves the recognition it gets. I don't know how many trades are available, so I will try and look into it.

I am so happy you liked it! Yay!

Ami- too true! :-) I think you are right. God knows the last thing they need is to start a fire!!

Lisa, I feel the same way. I just can't imagine Dinah going right back to Ollie unless she thinks it would be good for her little girl to have a dad. But why pick Ollie, you know? I just don't buy it. The creators at DC have their work cut out for them :-)

Carl, that is why I am so skeptical. It just doesn't feel right. Time to pull a rabbit out of a very uncomfortable place? Hee hee.

No way in hell. Even when they were a solid item, she rejected the idea of marriage (this was during the Grell run on GA in the late 80's. (She also objected to having children, but Sin is a unique situation)

Ever since then Ollie's promiscuous ways have been made evident time and again. Hell, if it wasn't for her HIV positive status, he probably would have been tempted by the new Speedy. (Yeah, I know, underaged, but on his way out of Seattle, he had a one time fling with a girl who couldn't have been much older)

Dinah knows him all too well to think that he would be a faithful husband. I forget wether he left Dinah or she told him to leave, but when he left her behind in Seattle, that was a rough breakup.

Anyway, I suspect Oliver's proposing because it's something he thinks he should be doing given some circumstances to come in the story, not because its what he really wants (but has probably convinced himself that it is)

I suspect Dinah will have to tell him why she says "no," and that'll hurt him badly.

Shawn, I am speechless at your thoughtful remarks. Nice work. Dinah and Ollie's relationship is so much water under the bridge that I wonder how it can be salvaged. It will be a writing miracle to turn me into a believer, that is for sure.

Thank you for the insight.

Thanks.

It's a benefit of being a DC addict, and continuity geek for over two decades.

I'll go double or nothing on a prediction that he'll also go broke before the series ends.

He's never been good with money. He lost his family fortune, blew through a duffel of lost CIA cash (a few hundred grand), and his current bankroll from the guy who hoped to take over Ollie's resurrected body probably won't last much longer (Between the election, and his island combat training, he must be running close to empty)

He's never "Earned" his large sums, nor built on his fortune, merely inherited and spent. (With that in mind, god help the treasury of Star City, even without his liberal tendencies he may have to raise taxes to the point of driving businesses away.)

I guess thats the contradiction that keeps Ollie interesting. He's the conscience of the Super-Hero community, but when it comes to his own life, he doesn't live up to his own standards.

Sorry, that was just showing off...
