Is This Gratuitous? Danger Girl: Body Shots #3

Well this sure made me stop and pause. A picture of a hot chick wearing only her panties luxuriating on a bed of bullets? I also note she is holding a large gun and has a passionate expression on her face. Does that mean that using her gun gets her hot? Also, is this Abbie Chase, the lead character of Danger Girl? I can't really tell because other then her lack of clothes, there is really nothing to distinguish her from some other hot blonde.

I do note that Danger Girls is a bit of a tease of a book. That gives the creative team license to use lots of double entendres while sending the ladies running around in skimpy outfits while saving the world. I anticipate that the interior could be a bit sketchy.

It is the cover I am a bit concerned with. God knows it could send a 12 year old boy into puberty by just it's mere presence.

Passionate expression. Check.
Mostly naked. Check.
Suggestive pose. Check.

Hey gang, it looks like this could be gratuitous! What do you think?

I'm voting yes on this one. The cover would have been just as sexy and provocative if she'd had more clothing on. In fact, I think it would have been more effective that way.

Welp, gratuitous, most likely. But, I think even further, it's a case of semi-automatic eroticism...

Danger Girl is nothing BUT gratuitous.

Gratuitous? Thing should have a brown wrapper around it! Sheesh!

Yep, I would say this one is pretty much taking the cake. I love Mark's comment that it needs a brown paper wrapping!

Yes, it is gratuitous, also looks uncomfortable. And my guess is that the panties were added as a "covering our butt" afterthought (pun intended) by the editors by way of the colorist.

I'm very disappointed on this one. Danger Girl is one of my favorite comic series and while it certainly is a "hot chicks in sexy costumes" comic, I find that I enjoy the cheesy humor and fun action scenes infinitely more than the gratuitous "body shots". It would be nice if J Scott Campbell would get back to doing the art for the series because the original danger girl seven issue was one of the most fun and entertaining graphic novels I've ever read. Everything from the colors to the plot just BEGGED to be made into a hollywood summer action flick.

Also...I haven't been able to find this issue anywhere and it was supposed to have come out at the beginning of last month. Perhaps tons of pimply virgins collected them ASAP when the nude "Abbey" was seen on the cover?

I can't imagine who is the girl that creator of this character used as model, I mean is well know that Greg Horn used Pamela Anderson, curious you know, because that was the same day that I Buy Generic Viagra for first time.
