Grinch Says: "Forget Christmas and Have a Cocktail"

It has happened. I have hit Christmas overload. I worked an 11 hour day and had to do Christmas errands. People in general were assholes and the roads are icy. It was not a pleasant experience, to say the least.

That being said, I am taking tonight off blogging and going to sit and relax. I have to make dinner and do laundry first, but then it is all about checking out some comic books and reading the rest of the book "Big Boned" by Meg Cabot.

See you tomorrow!

I'm glad you're home safe. Get some rest and enjoy your reading. This was a heavy comic week for me so I've got some catching up to do, myself.

P.S. Rock on!

Hope the rest of your week is better. This time of year can be so stressful. Less than two weeks left.

Kick back!!

Your sentiments seem to be pretty common this year. People seem warn out, crabby, and just not in the mood for Christmas, yet really needing some time off of work and running around. The other day there was a "snow emergency" and the school districts that didn't close had parents all outraged - I think they wanted an excuse to stay home. And even though the roads really weren't bad no one was going out - our strip mall here was super quiet, as was the road and even the KMart across the street.

I think most people work so much these days and have such stressful lives that it's hard to get into the mood to celebrate - it's almost like another chore. We need time off before Christmas just to get into the mood for it.

John, I am thinking about you at this stressful time, hoping you are doing good. It has got to be very hectic for you as well! Thank you for the kind words!

Lisa, you said it, Girl. Bad weather plus the holiday season really brings out the worst in people. God knows it is like you said- life is so stressful to begin with. If you add in all the rest of the drama, it makes everyone nuts!

Hmmmmm, should work my place of slav-- employment, good ol' Toys'R'Us. I have grown so many levels of hate for our customers, I do sometimes almost get sick in my soul, not healthy at all! The only thing that saves me now and again is finding the toy/item when the computer says we have no more (against all odds) and how the person's face lights up, like I performed a Christmas miracle! And of course, I get to open all the action figure boxes as they come in, though a manager told me yesterday I really shouldn't do it. So, of course, since she walked away and didn't enforce it, I'm going to take that as a personal opinion, not an order, HA! And get my GI Joes before they get on the shelve, yeah, that's right!
