Don't worry -- I buy Wizard, too. Actually, I subscribe to it.

Usually it's schlock, but every once in a while a good article comes about, like the "100 Best Single Issue Stories" from last issue. I keep meaning to post on that. With all their Animal Man choices, how could they leave out "The Coyote Gospel?" At least they included "Calliope," my favorite Sandman story.

Wizard is an entity I have a love/hate relationship with. I had a subscription as well, but it took at least a week and a half to two weeks after it hit newstands to get to my house, so it was always frustrating.

The 100 issues was a good story for sure. I was happy to see all the Vertigo stuff I love in there, as well as some oldies but goodies. I also enjoy the interviews with old school creators.

My pet peeve is the top artist and writer. Half the people on the artist list can't make a deadline if their lives depend on it. I think that lateness should disqualify a person, so I will never be happy there.

I also dislike the top comic books any more. It is all variant crap. Back when it was about the issue, I dug it, but now I just cringe.

Scott, I definitely agree with your assessment. Ten years ago it was like a bible to me; now it is a guilty pleasure.
