My comic book list is pretty decent this week as several mini-series ended last week. We are also on the last month of our file at our retailer, so that should be interesting.

Here is my list:

Action Comics #863
Countdown #4
Detective Comics #843
Nightwing #143
Trials of Shazam #12 (of 12)- here's another one that is ending!
Darkness Butcher One-Shot
Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Guity Pleasures #10 (of 12)
Boys #17- cover pictured

That is eight books. That is great news for me! As Little Hughie of The Boys would say "jings"!

Have a wonderful night! I have just two and a half days left on my contest so I am going to go shower and relax.

Hey, Heidi!

Not big on April Fool's Day this year, since we had a pretty bad "April Fool's Day" trick played on us here in Minnesota with a nice 5 to 6 inches of snowfall yesterday. Shoveling slush kinda takes the mischievous streak right outta ya!

Anyway, I have to say how impressed I am with your tiny comic book list! Congratulations....you're not only losing excess pounds, but you're losing excess comic books as well!

Slim pickins' for me this week:

Action Comics #863: If this issue is even half as good as last issue (with the incredibly entertaining Substitude Heroes), I'm in for a treat...especially since it's the concluding chapter to the Legion of Superheroes storyline. I hope to see more of this version of the Legion, and some resolution on just what's going on with the two Legion teams running around the DCU.

Zorro #2: I recall that you bought it last month, so you might want to add it to your list (sorry!). I thought it was okay....though the art wasn't up to where I think it should be. I'll give it a couple more months to light my fire.

I'm toying with the idea of drinking the "Secret Invasion" Kool-Aid and picking up issue #1. Should I do it? I feel like I've been through this before with DC's "Millenium" event years ago (where there were also "hidden spies" among the DC heroes), but it appears that Marvel is playing a higher stakes game that DC's rather mild fallout from Millenium...so that's the part that intrigues me. I'll think about it.

Well, that's it for me! Still no interest to pick up "Countdown" even though we're in the final month. Every time I flip through it at the store, there's just nothing that yanks me in. Nothing.

On that happy note, have a great, prank-free April Fool's Day!

No "Is this gratuitous?" for this month's Countdown?
