Anniversary Today

It is finally here- Jim and I have been married 7 years. Man, time has gone so fast, it doesn't feel like it! I took him to dinner last night and lunch today, so we were pretty low key.

Yay for comics, they are what brought us together, and continue to keep up having stuff to talk about. Hee hee! Jim and I lived through the hell that was Kyle versus Hal back in the day, so that is a pretty major achievement. I don't know how many times message board arguments with members of HEAT (Hal's Emerald Advancement/ Attack Team) versus the KEWL (Kyle's Enemies Will Lose) guys made me tense as hell and want to never read about Green Lantern again. The flame wars there were legendary!

But I digress.

It has been seven years filled with a lot of emotions and we are still here to tell the story.

I love you Honey.

Happy Anniversary to both of you! You guys are such a great couple, and I hope you know how awesome it is that both of you are into comics. Most spouses just look on in confusion and perplexed amusement when it comes to the comics, so it's neat that you both know what a "Mxyzptlk" or a Sinestro Corps is.

My wife and I will be celebrating our 19 year anniversary late this summer. It's unbelievable how fast the time goes...especially with kids in the picture. Yikes! That's almost 20 years!

Anyway, glad to hear you had a nice, quiet day together.

Happy belated anniversary. I hope it had alternate foil covers.

I'm going to have to tell the "comics brought them together and now give them something to talk about" story to people who come into my store. It seems like most couples fight over the comics habit, or at least it's a cause of frustration and sometimes mockery. We even had one couple, with the "just married" signs still on the car, come in because the wife was making her brand new husband sell his comics.

You two are a rare case of comics working for the good of a marriage! YEAH!! GO COMICS!! CONGRATS to Heidi and James!!

Thank you all so much for the kind words! Jim sends his thanks as well.

Lisa- we are definitely a poster couple for comic book love! There are several fellas and a few gals that collect books locally that are a bit envious of it. We just knew what our priority was!! Hahaha!

Thank you all again!
